Adult Mission Trips
The Kirk offers adult mission trips to those willing to share God's love well beyond our walls. We recently completed a trip to Nicaragua in coordination with CEPAD, a Christian mission group dedicated to serving the people of Nicaragua. Last June, the Kirk hosted Justin Sundberg to discuss what CEPAD is doing in Nicaragua with financial support from the Kirk. If you are interested in future trips, please contact Rev. Fernando Rodríguez at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Jessica Behenna at email@example.com.
Mid High Mission Trip: The Pittsburgh Project • Summer 2019
Youth in grades 6-8 participate in a summer mission trip to The Pittsburgh Project. This trip includes worship, fellowship, free time and, of course, time spent working in the community. No special skills are needed—just an open and willing heart. The homeowners that we assist are always touched by the caring attitudes of our young people, and grateful for their assistance throughout the week. For more information, contact Alex Kim at firstname.lastname@example.org, or (248) 847-3424.
Senior High Mission Trip: Orange Walk, Belize • Summer 2019
Youth who have completed grades 9–12 travel to Belize with Praying Pelican Missions (a Christian Ministry). We are blessed to continue our international ministry with Pastor Ed Perez and Koinonia Ministries. In 2014, the Kirk's high school youth began church construction from the ground up to build a facility for Pastor Ed to use for weekly worship, local children's ministries and international youth ministry trainings. We’re continuing this ministry in 2019, along with an annual Vacation Bible School for 200 children awaiting us in Belize. There is no experience needed to participate in this mission, just an open and willing heart to serve the Lord and His people. For more information, contact Alex Kim at email@example.com, or (248) 847-3424.
