…I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. –John 10:10b
We are excited to announce our 2019 Mission Conference, Seeing Abundance in the Neighborhood. If we are to accept the words of Jesus as true, what would an abundant life look like?
Our keynote speakers are Rev. Mike Mather and De’Amon Harges from Indianapolis. For more than 15 years, Mike and De’Amon have worked in urban ministry daring to see abundance where others see scarcity.
Rev. Mike serves as Pastor of Broadway United Methodist Church in Indianapolis and is the author of Having Nothing, Possessing Everything. Pastor Fernando Rodríguez recently published a review of Rev. Mather’s book on the Next Church blog. Read the review
De’Amon Harges is known as the Roving Listener in the Broadway community and delivered a TEDx talk titled Making the Invisible Visible. Watch his TEDx talk
There will be breakout sessions with Rev. Michael Mather and De'Amon Harges, Debra Ehrmann (Centro Multicultural La Familia), and Coleman Yoakum (Micah 6 Community). Watch Coleman’s TEDx talk here. We will also have over 20 nonprofit organizations from our community with their leaders available to provide information about what they do and how you can help or become involved.
The conference is free and open to all. Feel free to invite others who might be encouraged and inspired!
Although the event is free, we ask all participants to register online. Note: All attendees must register by Friday, April 26.
