Calendar of Service Events
Our theme for this year is #BeLove, which is based on
1 John 4:7-8 . . . Beloved, let us love one another . . . because God is love.
Our goals this year:
7,000 hours of service in our communities!
300 conversations with people we serve
We will strive to deepen our experiences this year by engaging in conversations with those we are serving. Having conversations with people we would otherwise not know takes our discipleship to a deeper level to truly express being God’s love in the world.
How will we do this? We will Engage, Record & Celebrate
We Engage by finding a place to serve. Any place/activity that is outside of the church involving helping someone in need, counts.
We Record by logging our hours online, using Track it Forward. You can start logging hours on November 1.
And finally, we Celebrate by posting pictures of what we are doing on social media with the hashtag #BeLove.
We encourage everyone who volunteers at these service events to take photos and submit them to: email@example.com
Stay tuned to your email, the Kirk website, and social media for more information on volunteer opportunities for the month.

Habitat for HumanityNovember 22 & 23
This Habitat home located at 301 Fisher Avenue in Pontiac was originally sponsored by the Kirk and purchased by a Habitat family in April of 2009. After many years enjoying the home the family had an opportunity to relocate near family in another state and sold the home back to Habitat. Kirk volunteers will be painting, siding, yard clearing, and more. This is a great opportunity for volunteers to fix up the home to make it ready for another family to purchase. All volunteers must register to participate.Register Online
