Mid High|Grades 6–8 (Abbey 26) – Youth in grades 6–8 will gather together for fun, fellowship, sharing, and studying God’s Word together. This year, mid high students will use the Dwell curriculum that includes a devotion guide also used at Mid High Youth Group to walk the students through important Biblical subjects to prepare them for Confirmation in grade 9.
Confirmation|Grade 9 (Abbey 22) – The year-long Confirmation program is open to all high school students seeking to become new members of Kirk in the Hills. The program includes class and worship attendance requirements designed to grow faith and understanding of Presbyterian beliefs. Parents of Confirmation students attend their own class at the same time as their child. Parents study the same materials, which allows for great conversation around the dinner table. (Read more about the Confirmation program below.)Senior High|Grades 10–12 (Abbey 27) – Senior High Sunday School is a great opportunity to look at God’s Word in an open setting where questions and curiosity are encouraged. Together we seek to discover the teachings of Scripture, conveyed in a way high school students can follow.
Children's Sunday School (age 3 – grade 5)
The Confirmation program at the Kirk is offered for young people in 9th grade. There are two main purposes of the program:
1. Educate young people about our faith, our history, and our reformed theology.
2. Instill the spiritual disciplines (prayer, Scripture, worship, fellowship) into the lives of young people as they enter their high school years.
The 2016-17 Confirmation Class is currently underway. To learn more, please contact Jessica Behenna at email@example.com, or (248) 973-8001.
