Giving to the Kirk: Wish List
With so many possibilities for giving to the Kirk, we have developed a wish list (Book of Needs) to assist members and friends of the Kirk in their gift, memorial, endowment and bequest considerations. The Kirk is flexible and variations, more in keeping with your desires, are welcome. Please contact a Pastor or our Business Manager, Jayne Zellers at jzellers@kirkinthehills.org to work out details.
Six specific areas have been identified for giving:
1. Facilities
2. Music
3. Outreach and Mission
4. Youth
5. Current Ministries
6. Other
Below you will find a description of each area of need; some areas already have specific wish list items to consider; this list will be updated as other needs are identified:
1. Facilities
These items are opportunities to designate gifts intended to help the Kirk preserve and improve its buildings, contents and grounds.
These items are opportunities to designate a gift intended to help enhance the wonderful music programs at the Kirk.
• Fund choir camp scholarships $500 per youth
3. Outreach and Mission
These items are opportunities to designate a gift that extends the Kirk Outreach & Mission in the community and the world.
4. Youth
These items are opportunities to designate a gift to our vibrant Youth programs and ministries.
5. Current Ministries
These items are opportunities to designate a gift in one of the other areas of ministry currently active at the Kirk.
• Underwrite cost of Kirk Seniors newsletter $3,800 per year
• Sponsor Annual All Kirk Event $4,000-$5,000
• Endow Kirk Seniors programs & trips $75,000
6. Other
These items are opportunities to designate a gift to an item which does not fit conveniently into one of the other categories.
