On Sunday, November 8, 2009, Kirk members and friends
packed a total of 57 boxes with needed items to send to the soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines serving in Afghanistan.

Due to the generosity of a few Kirk members, we collected additional funds that enabled us to exceed the original
maximum of 50 mailed boxes.

Special thanks go to the children in Ann Hartzell’s Sunday
School Class. These youngsters drew awesome pictures and
wrote notes to the soldiers to send their encouragement and prayers.

Kirk member Susan File also rallied students and staff at Berskshire Middle School to donate items and to write letters of support for the troops. Their generosity was greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Many thanks to the generous Kirk congregation as so many people brought everyday items to send to the troops overseas and took time to prayerfully and thoughtfully write personal messages to the troops.

Stephanie Ranney, Outreach and MissionAbove all, we thank God for this ministry that He has given us to reach out to those who are daily in harm's way in a far away place. We pray that every soldier, sailor, airman and Marine will soon return home safe
and sound again to loved ones and family.

With love and gratitude to the Kirk congregation for
their kindness, generosity and prayers for the troops.

Blessings -
