Each February, the Women’s Ministry Council has planned a Winter Gathering Dinner and Program. This year we decided to do something different. Join other women of the Kirk as we head together to the Detroit Institute of Arts on Saturday, February 4 for a preview of this fascinating exhibition. We will carpool from the Kirk and plan to have lunch in Detroit.
Seven powerful and emotional portraits of Jesus by Dutch master painter Rembrandt van Rijn and his students are brought together for the first time in this exhibition of 64 intimate works. Experience Rembrandt’s break from traditional seventeenth-century representations of Jesus as he portrays him as a compassionate, complex human being.
