Welcome to Kirk in the Hills!

Welcome to the website of Kirk in the Hills, a large Presbyterian congregation in the/files/Images - K. Kenum/Welcome Message/2009 Kirk exterior from lawn.jpg  suburbs of Detroit, Michigan.
Kirk in the Hills, Bloomfield Hills, MI
The Kirk owes its immediate origin to the generosity of a local businessman and
landowner whose large home forms the heart of our campus.  Around the Tudor-style mansion of Col. Edwin George, the congregation has built a gothic-style sanctuary, a series of classrooms and meeting rooms, dining and fellowship areas, all set in delightful grounds and gardens.

nside the imposing structure, however, is the best part—a lively, generous, caring and committed congregation who together explore and express what it means to be Christian today.  The congregation’s mission statement says, ‘Kirk in the Hills is a Christ-centered community called to deepen faith, foster fellowship and serve others.’  Through worship, study, service and witness—along with a lot of laughter-- people of the Kirk seek to serve our Lord and Savior through the work and ministry of the church and in the various places
where they live their lives.

Coffee Hour on the Front PatioThis website gives a flavor of the life of the congregation.  If you're new to the Kirk, there's
a special section, "Your First Visit," to help you plan your first visit to the Kirk. We hope
you’ll explore those areas that interest you and come back regularly for updates on what’s going on. And be assured of
a warm welcome any time you’re able to visit in person - we’ll
be glad to see you!
